As H.G. Fenton Company's Project Manager, Brian Gates is charged with managing all aspects of the organization’s building development, redevelopment, and major capital improvement projects. This includes sourcing and underwriting opportunities and managing the design, permitting, bidding, and construction processes as well as tenant relations for the projects.

Prior to joining H.G. Fenton Company in 2006, Gates worked for five years with DPR Construction, a large commercial general contractor, as a project engineer/manager where he took part in managing all aspects of a variety of construction projects ranging from a downtown high-rise to biotech lab/office facilities.

Gates is currently working toward his master's degree in real estate from the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego. Gates received his bachelor's degree in business administration and management from the University of Phoenix, and studied building construction management at Michigan State University. He also received his certification in real estate finance, investments and development from the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate.

Gates is an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the Building Industry Association (BIA). He is also on the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate Policy Advisory Board as a Young Entrepreneurs Council member. Gates is a LEED® Accredited Professional.
