As president and chief executive officer, Michael 'Mike' Neal is responsible for guiding the H.G. Fenton Company organization to achieve its vision and strategic plan objectives and for overseeing all real estate operations.

Neal, who joined H.G. Fenton Company in 1988, is considered the chief architect of the company's real estate emphasis and growth. Under his direction, the privately-held organization has become one of the largest real estate owners and developers in San Diego County. H.G. Fenton Company is also becoming a relied upon third-party provider of capital, debt and equity to developers in growth-oriented markets.

Neal is a graduate of San Diego State University (SDSU) with a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in real estate. He also holds his master's degree in real estate from SDSU and is a member of the San Diego State University Alumni Association.

His professional affiliations include being a member and former president of the Building Industry Association (BIA) Board of Directors, member and past president of the Commercial and Industrial Council, former board member of the California Building Industry Association, and a member of National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, National Investment Management Forum.

Neal is also a member of Vistage International, a graduate of LEAD San Diego and serves on the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce CEO Roundtable, the San Diego EDC Governors Council and the Scripps Board Real Estate Advisory Committee.
